The Davison City Council approved all their budgets except for the Davison-Richfield Senior Authority and the Local Development Finance Authority (pending LDFA approval) Monday, June 11.

The council’s uncertainty whether Richfield Township will pull out of the senior authority all together was the reason they did not approve that budget Monday night.

Questions about the Davison-Richfield Area Senior Citizens Authority budget prompted the Richfield Township Board Tuesday, June 12 to postpone action on the budget and discuss the option of pulling out of the authority all together.

Some of those questions were answered at the Monday, June 18 senior authority meeting, and proposals were floated to reduce the amount of the director’s pay raise and change a funding formula. That did little to diffuse the conflict, however.

The Davison High School Class of 2007 received their diplomas during Monday, June 11 ceremonies at Perani Arena.
